Pidgeot is the 2nd stage of Pidgey, a very common Pokémon. However, his stats are not too unbalanced! Its Attacks are not extremely high and his Defenses are not too low either. His movepool permits to create a build that supports his well-around structure.
- Item Held
- Choice Band (Increases move’s power but only the selected move can be used until switched)
- Nature
- Jolly (+Speed –Special Attack)/Adamant (+Attack –Special Attack)
- Effort Points
- 252 Attack, 252 Speed, 6 HP
- Moveset
-
- Quick Attack
- Aerial Ace
- Steel Wing/ Hidden Power Ground
- Return/Filler
Role #1: Physical Sweeper
The strategy is quite simple: Choice Band is there to greatly boost the selected move’s power. Quick Attack along with Aerial Ace also get STAB and that translates to huge damage. Steel Wing or Hidden Power Ground is there to cover some of your weaknesses such as Rock types. If you wish to stop Pidgeot’s stampede, simply switch to a Tank or an Annoyer before using another Sweeper.
Role #2: Toxishuffler (suggested by HUAHUAHUA)
- Toxic
- Whirlwind
- Aerial Ace/ Hidden Power Ground
- Quick Attack
Simple and clear! Use Toxic followed by a Whirlwind attack in order to intoxicate all of your opponent's team! Aerial Ace and Quick Attack are there to receive STAB and cause major damage. Use the later to finish off Pokémon that have been weakened by Toxic's effects. Hidden Power Ground neutralizes Pidgeot's weakness to Rock and Electric.
Egg Moves
These are the moves Pidgey can learn through breeding with Pokémon of the Flying Egg Group, and the Pokémon it can get them from.Training Grounds
This section is to advise you on the areas in which you can train for the acquisition of the Effort Points presented above. It is recommended you use 10 vitamins on the stat you desire to raise. Do not use vitamins on stats that require less than 100 Effort Points. Equip the Macho Brace on your Pokémon to speed up the process even more.- Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald
