Nintendo GameBoy Color
Even if it was the third handheld console with coloured screen after GameGear and Lynx, its opponents didn't even have a chance against its great variety of games. It was first released in 1998 and is compatible with all older GB games while being able to play some of them with different colors instead of plain black and white. Its infrared port provived the ability for wireless multiplayer if the game supported it. It has three special Pokémon versions.
