Pokémon Communication Center - PCC
What is the PCC? The PCC (Pokémon Communication Center) was the Pokémon Center of Goldenrod in the japanese version of Crystal. It allowed trainers to trade or battle from far away by using a mobile phone and a special accessory called Mobile Adapter. A magnificent idea but Nintendo of North America thought that this idea would not succeed because mobile phones were not so popular outside Japan (in my opinion they were wrong). Anyway, it was thought that the PCC (which exists in the japenese version of Crystal and allows you to trade and battle via a mobile phone) was entirely deleted from the english version. After a little research I noticed that the main room, the one with the big machines etc. was deleted, but one secondary small room wasn't. This one room has three scientists and three PC's with instructions on how to use the PCC. These are the text blocks from the hidden room:

It's a notice about where MOBILE ADAPTERS are to be used…
There's a POKéCOM CLUB upstairs in any Pokémon CENTER. There, you can battle or trade with a friend far away by using a MOBILE ADAPTER. To link up, your friend must have the same kind of MOBILE ADAPTER as you. To use the TRADE CORNER or read the Pokémon NEWS, you need to phone the MOBILE CENTER. You must register at the MOBILE CENTER before connecting there.
