Pokémon Abilites

Pokémon in Diamond & Pearl have a special Ability, depending on their species, which affects the battlefield, their statistics, the opponent or even the player's journeys accross the game's world (map). Abilities' map effects continue to be in effect even if the Pokémon that has them is fainted.

There are 123 different abilities and some Pokémon may be listed in two categories in the following list in which case it will randomly know one of the two. Some abilities that also appeared in Advanced Generation games may have been changed.
