RE: Battle Tower Team - justiceanthony7@yahoo.com - 19-05-2009 08:49 PM i want to join the battle tower team RE: Battle Tower Team - rk91234567890 - 10-06-2009 03:35 PM machamp drain orb drain punch cross chop reversal earthquake RE: Battle Tower Team - snow.flame - 12-11-2009 04:33 AM I just used this set to win the Gold Print: Swampert Adamant @Shell Bell *Note: Life Orb allows Swampert to OHKO more often. 252 Attack EVs, 31 Attack IVs Waterfall Ice Punch Earthquake Brick Break/Stealth Rock Skarmory Careful @Leftovers 252 HP EVs, 31 Sp. Def, Def & HP IVs Brave Bird Toxic Double Team Roost Latios Modest @Life Orb *Note: Soul Dew does NOTHING at the Battle Frontier. 252 Sp. Att EVs, 31 Sp. Att IVs Psychic Ice Beam Thunderbolt Flamethrower This team has not been defeated yet, but sometimes strange things happen at the Battle Tower. I tried Latios @Soul Dew once, and he got OHKOed by Bug Buzz from a Venomoth. With full HP! Soul Dew Latios also failed to OHKO anything, leaving exactly 1 HP left on the opponents for no apparent reason. So Soul Dew appears to be so bad that it's worse than useless at the Battle Tower. Skarmory has also been hit 9/10 times by a Bronzong's Charge Beam, even with evasive boosts from 5/6 Double Teams. Bronzong's accuracy only dropped when I used Roost until Charge Beam was depleted of PP. Then none of Bronzong's other attacks would hit Skarmory, and I won by using Brave Bird about 15 times. RE: Battle Tower Team - infraredPr - 27-06-2010 08:50 PM i don't have any trouble beating a lot of 3v3 teams using this: Aerodactyl Jolly (+Spd, -S.At) (252 Spd, 252 Atk, the rest is up to you) Focus Sash • Stealth Rock • Stone Edge • Fly • Taunt/Earthquake/ThunderFang The last move slot is really up to the user. I prefer taunt over any of the other moves because if you are playing a human opponent, chances are they will want to set up stealth rock as well, and this stops them. Of course, they may call your bluff, and attack, in which case Focus Sash saves you and you can still set up Stealth Rock. Earthquake/ThunderFang are there for Battle Tower/Frontier teams as the AI opponents NEVER set up Stealth Rock. Both have good coverage and hit water types pretty hard. Weavile Jolly (+Spd, -S.At) (252 Spd, 252 Atk, lalalalala whatever) Muscle Band • Dark Slash • Ice Punch • Brick Break • Foresight/ I don't really know what Oh my. Fast and a hard hitter. Dark Slash is STAB and high critical hit, aka must have. Ice punch once again gets STAB and hits those annoying dragon-types pretty hard. Coupled with a base 75 (70?) power, STAB boost, muscle band, and a ridiculously high attack stat, Ice punch is scary. Brick break is coverage, yawn. Although does help to get rid of pesky Light Screens and Reflects as those are somewhat common. I like Foresight as some people like to bring in a Spiritomb or Sabeleye and Foresight enables fighting moves to hit ghost types, thus giving you a super-effective move on those Ghost/Dark types. If you think a better fourth move, let me know. Electivire Jolly (Same deal.....) Expert Belt • ThunderPunch • FirePunch • IcePunch • Earthquake Well. 'Nuf said. Good coverage, coupled with the expert belt, hits quite hard. RE: Battle Tower Team - Spyros - 27-06-2010 09:35 PM Well, the team looks pretty good, but Stealth Rock isn't that useful in 3v3 battles because very few switches will be made (especially in Battle Tower) and you can't cause any (Roar on Aerodactyl could help that, but it's not a good idea imo). Metagross and Scizor could cause some serious damge, but I guess Electivire can stop them especially with Aerodactyl's help. Next, Swampert must be a pain in the ass. A special Infernape with Fire Blast/Flamethrower and Grass knot could help a lot. That's what saw with a quick look. RE: Battle Tower Team - Lunatone46 - 25-08-2010 02:42 PM Hi This is the Team i Used and i got to Palmer 3 times i defeated him once thou Electivire w/magnet ThunderPunch,IcePunch,Crosschop and Earthquake Most of these Move are superefective against other types and will help hit them loads of times Magmortar w/charcoal FlameThrower,Phychic,Hyper Beam and SolarBeam This is a Great Power House With The Charcoal Powering Up FlameThrower is a good type to use if you get stuck Togekiss w/(nothing) Fly,Aura Sphere,Sky Attack,Aerial Ace This is a quick pokemon to use but its weakness is that it knows 3 flying moves which is bad if you are against an electric type. Here is my Team Hope It Helps RE: Battle Tower Team - dark_lugia - 25-08-2010 03:40 PM You could attach brightpowder to Togekiss is you wanna keep this team.... RE: Battle Tower Team - skorp - 26-08-2010 01:19 AM New team using the "secret pokemon". Timid Heatran (252 Sp Atk,252 Spd,6 HP) w/ Life Orb n' moveset:
Timid Yanmega (252 Sp Atk,252 Spd,6 HP) w/ Lum Berry/Zoom Lens n' moveset:
Smeargle Lv1(nature doesn't matter/no evs) w/ Focus Sash n' moveset:
RE: Battle Tower Team - sweet-devil - 26-08-2010 05:42 AM Skorp, i suggest using these: Heatran @ Life Orb 252 SpA / 252 Spe / 4 whatever Timid works, but i personally would get Modest. - Explosion - Fire Blast - Earth Power - Dragon Pulse Pure type coverage, Earth Power hits Rock types hard while Dragon Pulse takes care of Dragonite that i usually see in the Battle Frontier, Fire Blast's the best STAB out there, the 85 accuracy don't matter for the 120 Power. Explosion can be used as a final before-dying move. Whats the ability for that Yanmega ? I suggest using Tinted Lens and Choice Specs with Bug Buzz spam. Also, Protect > Detect if you're not going for Specs, same purpose, more PP. Why Hypnosis when Smeargle can Spore ? Replace that with something like Hidden Power Ground or AncientPower/Hidden Power Rock. Anyway, when i rocked the Battle Frontier, i used this team: Yanmega @ Focus Sash 154 Spe / 104 Def / 252 SpA Speed Boost Modest - Bug Buzz - Protect - AncientPower - Air Slash Absol @ Life Orb Adamant 252 Atk / 252 Spe / 4 HP Pressure - Swords Dance - Psycho Cut - Superpower - Sucker Pawnch Kabutops @ Choice Band Adamant 252 Atk / 252 Spe Swift Swim - Rock Slide - Aqua Jet - Waterfall - X-Scissor RE: Battle Tower Team - dunsparce - 26-08-2010 08:01 AM i would like to know a good team to set up with dunsparceee can anyon halp me please? RE: Battle Tower Team - skorp - 26-08-2010 10:06 AM I think you are right about explosion.I don't really use Flash Cannon in BT. Now,Yanmega's ability is Speed Boost.Detect is there to get me an extra speed boost,so I can attack/hypnosis first.Smeargle can be really good but what about Ghost types? There's also the case where the sleeping pokemon wakes up in 1 or 2 turns making your Smeargle plan fail. @ dunsparce: There's not a good team with Dunsparce.I think...No one uses it.Even in BF,very little people have one(low levels). RE: Battle Tower Team - sweet-devil - 28-08-2010 06:29 AM (26-08-2010 08:01 AM)dunsparce Wrote: I would like to know a good team to set up with Dunsparce can anyone help me please? Dunsparce @ Life Orb / Leftovers / Choice Scarf / King's Rock Jolly 252 Atk / 252 Spe / 4 HP Serene Grace - Body Slam - Headbutt - Bite - Rock Slide RE: Battle Tower Team - Grovyle_Fan - 28-08-2010 07:54 PM Dunsparce can actually be pretty decent, especially in UU with its great movepool. Serene Grace though is tied with luck, sth that doesn't seem to work at all in battle tower :P Still you can use it, by giving it some HP EVs it can survive a hit, paralyze back and start flinching(or at least hope to do so, Lady Luck always favours the tower...)
